A Herbal Consultation

The first consultation lasts for one hour and includes taking a full medical history and physical examination as required, review of the condition, general advice and dispensing of the herbal treatment. Advice on diet and lifestyle will usually be included. Subsequent consultations will last for up to 30 minutes.

The length of a course of treatment will vary according to the nature of the ailment, and its duration.

All herbal remedies and supplements are charged in addition to the consultation fee, see individual Clinic pages.

The Prescription

Herbal remedies may be used internally or externally. Internally tinctures, fluid extracts, juices, teas, capsules or tablets may be given. Externally creams, ointments, lotions or oils may be used.

If appropriate, vitamins and/or mineral supplementation may be advised along with appropriate nutritional advice.

Orthodox Treatment

You will be asked to bring full details of any prescription or over-the-counter medication you may be taking in order to avoid any risk of unwanted interactions between the herbal medicine and the orthodox medicine.
